The Spanish frigate SPS Canarias (F 86) participates in a gun exercise during the Pacific phase of exercise UNITAS 2006 July 30, 2006. Held in the South American region, UNITAS is an annual exercise including navies from Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Spain, and the United States, designed to train participating navies in a variety of maritime scenarios with each operating as a component of the multinational force.
