This is a black and white photograph of a puppy sled dog peaking out from a dog box in a musher's truck at the start of the 2007 Iditarod. The Iditarod is a wilderness dog mushing race over 1150 miles that begins near anchorage and ends in Nome Alaska. Mushers feed and care their dogs the entire way. The iiditarod is also called the last great race.
