Poster Art-Print Description:
This is a stock photograph of a porcupine with a green spring like background and few wildflowers in the foreground. Their latin name is Erethizon dorsatum and the porcupine is a member of the rodent family. They are mostly nocturnal and eat an herbivore diet consisting of leaves, twigs, and plants. They can have as many as 30,000 quills which are actually hairs with barbed tips on the ends. The quills are used only for defense as the porcupine cannot shoot it's quills.
