Poster Art-Print Description:
This is a photograph of polar bear cubs playing on tundra near Hudson Bay, Maitoba, Canada. Latin name is Ursus Maritimus. These bears are older cubs who learn all survival skills from their mothers. While waiting for the ice pack to freeze, usually in early November, many bears congregate on the shores of Hudson Bay. Playing, napping, and sparring are favorite activities during this time period. Once the ice freezes the bears will leave to hunt for their favorite food of seal meat. Polar bears are considered a threatened species due to global warming by many scientists but so far have not received federal protection.
