Poster Art-Print Description:
This photo shows a women about to receive botox injection.
Botox is the commercial name for Botulinum Toxin Type A. Botulinum toxin is derived from the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. Injections of botulinum toxin type A (BOTOX) have become increasingly popular for reducing wrinkles of the forehead and face. These injections provide a nonsurgical cosmetic technique for treating frown lines, forehead furrows, crow's feet and other lines of the face.
Markings diagram indicate the injection site areas for frown and crows feet.
Doctors should avoid injection near the levator palpebrae superioris, particularly in patients with larger brow-depressor complexes. Medial corrugator injections should be placed at least 1 cm above the bony supraorbital ridge.
