This cruiser built in 1897 serve at the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905), taking part in the Battle of Tsushima (1905), in the First World War (1915-1917) and finally, took part in the 1917 October Revolution with the assault on the Winter Palace (a revolutionary committee joined the Bolsheviks, was created on the ship with Aleksandr Belyshev as Captain).
