Stock Photo Description: Doburoku Matsuri Festival. Harvest Festival where a parade with lion dancers (eight-legged Shishi) and court musicians visit the Temples and is ritually served with Doburoku (sweet homemade unrefined rice sake). Actually the Doburoku is offered to the mountain gods at the shrine praying for the village's safety and prosperity. The Doburoku Matsuri Festival is organized by the Shirakawa Hachiman Shrin and other shrines at Gofu Prefecture, where some of the components of the parade are registered as traditional cultural values of Gifu Prefecture.
