Stock Photo Description: A view of the lush temperate rainforest understory across the Quinault River on the trail to Enchanted Valley, a large alpine cirque ringed by 3,000 foot cliffs. This is a 27 mile round trip hike to the three-story Enchanted Valley Chalet. The Chalet was built in 1930 as a commercial hotel to provide accommodation for horse parties travelling between Dosewallips and the Pacific Coast. Photo Date July, 1997.
