Stock Photo Description: Crater Lake, Oregon: Many that visited Crater Lake, Oregon will never forget its beauty and intense blue colour. I just returned from the Crater Lake....with a memory that will never fade away...I hiked to the spot much desired for photography capture. Much of the rim drive is still closed due to snow storm just received at crater lake 2 weeks ago. Crater Lake usualy gets over 500 inches of snow during winter months and the rim doesnt open till late july. This beautu is volcanic legend....Five miles wide and almost 2000 feet high the lake rests in the remnants of of volcano called Mount Mazama...which erupted and fall on itself 7700 years ago...There is at this time still thermal movements under water of this like and it is corect to say that volcano is dormant right now....This is a place a must to see....and i shall return next week to the north entrance of the lake to continiue to capture much of its beauty.
