Stock Photo Description: The Giant's Causeway is an area of about 40,000 basalt columns created by a volcanic eruption, on the Atlantic coast of County Antrim in Northern Ireland, about 3 kilometres north of Bushmills.A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. The tops of the columns form stepping stones that lead from the cliff foot and disappear under the sea. Most of the columns are hexagonal, however there are some with four, five, seven and eight sides. According to Irish legend the Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn McCool) built the causeway to walk to Scotland to fight his Scottish counterpart Benandonner. Shot October 2007.
