Stock Photo Description: At the beginning it belonged to crociferi (religious order) but in 1657 passed to Gesuiti Order that totally modified the aspect.Facade (projected by G. B. Fattoretto) represented an example of Venetian baroque of the first part of eighteenthcentury. Internal decorations of false brocade, done by inlaying the marble, are the treasure of this church that is known as well for the paintings by Jacopo Palma kept in the sacresty and for the masterpiece by Tiziano, Il martirio di San Lorenzo (1558) on the first altar on the left handside. The last paintings shows the turning-point of Tiziano toward the Mannerism.
