Stock Photo Description: This stock photo was taken near the mouth of the Platte River in Michigan, on a beach looking across a small bay towards the towering Sleeping Bear Dunes in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Seagulls are flying over the water. The dunes rise 460 feet above Lake Michigan and are the source of the famous Legend of the Sleeping Bear Dunes.The white dome seen on top of the dune in the center is an older defensive radar shield left over from the Cold War.
