Image Description: From a 1920s recipe book. It's hard to imagine that advertisers and editors commissioned such amazingly detailed illustrations instead of shooting photographs, but color photography did not yet exist. This is an illustration of a very inviting tray of lemonade in a lovely period pitcher-and-footed glass set. Each glass has ice cubes and a long-handled spoon. The small ice bucket has a pair of tongs. Lemon slices are visible in the pitcher. The tray is in front of a window with partially open blinds. Outside you can see some pinkish-red flowers, perhaps roses or azaleas or ixora.
