Stock Photo Description: The Governor Hotel is off the beaten path on the fringes of Miami's art deco district. Unlike many of the Miami deco hotels that have undergone renovation, it retains some wonderful original period details. This photo was shot in 2000 and punched up in Photoshop to perk up the hotel's drab Wedgwood blue and gray exterior to approach sufficient Miami-Viceness. The trees flanking the front entrance are stately cocoanut palms.
