Where the street starts to curve to the right in the distance is the older, historic section of Main Street (most of the buildings in the foreground are re-creations of the historic architecture of the 1880s. Park City was a mining town (mainly silver) in the 1880's. It's now a major ski resort town that also attracts many summer tourists because of the many shops, art galleries and scenic surroundings.
