Stock Photo Description: The First Dutch Reformed Church, Schenectady, NY, built in 1862. Carbon residue from the flames of a devastating 1948 fire still stains some of the bricks. The church is located in the Stockade Historic District, settled by merchants and fur traders from Holland in the mid 17th century and now home to a diverse collection of architectural styles, from Dutch colonial to Victorian. It is a popular travel destination for walking tours.
