Stock Photo Description: The Portland Tram connects the South Waterfront with the Oregon Health and Science University, and Marquam Hill area, which is 500 feet above the waterfront. There are two trams which carry people a distance of 3,300 feet in three minutes. The cars travel at a speed of 22 mph. This view shows one of the trams, loaded with passengers, completing its ascent from the South Waterfront, as seen from the OSHU loading platform. The ride on the tram and the OSHU platform provide spectacular views of the City of Portland, some of which can be seen on this image.
