Stock Photo Description: The state of King Kamehameha stands in front of Ali Iolani Hale (the Judiciary Building) in Honolulu. It was dedicated in 1893 and depicts the King in his royal grab, a helmet of rare feathers and a gilded cloak. The spear in his left hand serves to symbolize the kingdom?s willingness and ability to defend from hostile nations. His right hand, however, is extended in a welcoming gesture of Aloha; it weighs nearly five tons and is cast in red bronze with a gold leaf cloak. Stock photography by Jesse Farrar.
